What is Christmas to you?
As a Jew, I have always viewed Christmas as an outsider. For many years I thought that the essence of Christmas was to celebrate the birth of Jesus, and all that was signified by this event. It took me almost fifty years to realize that Jesus is NOT the central figure of the holiday. The most important figure of Christmas is Santa Claus, who is the embodiment of the spirit of giving, one of the most important aspects of Jesus, who gave the ultimate gift - his life - for the benefit of others. I believe that the spirit of giving is within us all, and that when we give of ourselves we are acting as agents of Santa Claus. And so I, a Jew, really do believe in Santa Claus. So I'll choose E as my answer.
