Should I let him burn, pull him out of the fire, or extinguish the flames? WWJD?

My 13 year old son kept playing with the fireplace. I told him to stop. I punished him in many ways. I scolded him, sent him to his room, took away his privileges, and even ed him. He wouldn't listen. He was sure he wouldn't get burned. He even called me stupid and a liar. Now, he's fallen into the fire. Should I just let him burn, pull him out, or turn the gas off? Bear in mind, I want to resemble god.
