I Love Him - But he has some problems - Should I give up on him or keep trying?

I'm completely in love with a great guy for 4 mos. When he's sober he's the most amazing loving attentive incredible person. Since we live 100+ miles apart we don't see eachother all the time. The problem is his FRIENDS. When he's with them he drinks himself into oblivion. They start partying on Fri night and don't stop until Sun night. When he drinks he gets mean. Fri night I called his cell around 11 I told him I was going to call when I got home. A woman friend answered & told me he was ped out drunk in her bed. I got upset called back leaving some choice words on his VM. Sat morning I called again and she answered. He refused to talk to me saying I don't trust him & have no reason to be jealous of her as they don't have . He thinks I'm the one who did wrong. He's blocked my emails & IMs, deleted our website, won't answer calls & sent me a txt to never contact him again. He was drunk at the time. Does he really want to end it? Should I try again or just let it end? I LOVE HIM!
